Jollibee Plush Doll: what the heck is it saying? (video)

Posted on November 28, 2008 by

I was super excited to find this plush Jollibee doll now available at your local Jollibee filipino fast food franchise.  As you can see, he's wearing a lovely barong tagalog dress shirt, black dress pants, a somewhat Chinese-looking hat (??), and a bamboo design backpack. When you press a button on the backpack, it plays a fairly unintelligible phrase in Tagalog.

Only $9.99 with any $10 purchase at Jollibee. There is also an "American" and "Chinese" version of this doll, but without the backpack and unintelligible recording.

If you can make out what Jollibee is trying to say, you are a better Filipino than me, my sister and my mom.

I think it’s saying eating JollyBee could cause Heart Disease– It’s a public service message song.
