Welcome to the Yehoodi.com Archive. This page is dedicated to the online community of thousands of lindy hop enthusiasts — aka”Yehoodites” — that made Yehoodi.com what it was. What began in September 1998 as an online service created by two friends to support the fledgling New York City lindy scene, grew over time to become truly global in it’s reach, through its forums, media, event calendar, and in-person and online event productions.
While Yehoodi as an ongoing service has stopped operation, it’s legacy lives on in many ways. See below for links to all the great stuff:
Yehoodi Community Facebook Group
Craving community? Miss the discussion forums? A bunch of Yehoodites have gathered on Facebook in a group currently being managed by Effervescent and Lynn Redmile. Check it out here.
The Yehoodi History Project
In 2024, we prepared an oral history of the past 25 years of Yehoodi.com. Much of this is drawn from input from hundreds of Yehoodites from June to December 2023. Read the fascinating and fun history here or check out the PDF version.

Lindy Hop History Brochure
Yehoodi produced a printable brochure on the history of lindy hop that anyone can use for their dances, studios, and venues. We designed the brochure to be easily printed using a professional printer or a standard copy machine. We even included a blank section in the back where you can include the name of your organization, web address, logo, and anything else you want to put there.
Links to the brochure (click on the download link to print):
- Version for a Professional Printer: inside, outside
- No Bleed Version for Standard Photocopiers: inside, outside
The text has been translated into other languages for use by other scenes:
- Traditional Chinese, by Yivii Su
- Korean, by Nalla Kim
- French, by Anne Dagenais Guertin and Gilles Cherix

Yehoodi Archive on the Wayback Machine
The Wayback Machine, run by the Internet Archive, has archived past versions of Yehoodi over the years. Unfortunately, the archive is far from perfect. But if you are creative you can find some gems from the past there.
Yehoodi Media Links
Yehoodi produced A LOT of media over the years. Fortunately, a lot of it can still be found online. Here’s where to go.
SwingNation
Our most highly produced show was the “SwingNation” video talk show, which ran from 2012 to 2017. Co-hosted by Rikomatic, Spuds and Zuckerpunch (with various guests hosts over the years), “SwingNation” was our attempt at creating a regular “Tonight Show” for lindy hop.
Hey Mister Jesse
For awhile the “Hey Mister Jesse” podcast was THE place for DJs to find out what was happening in the world of music for swing dancing, from new releases from swing bands to re-mastered classics. All curated and presented by the always enthusiastic and knowledgeable Jesse Miner, backed by Spuds.

Yehoodi Live Event Production
Yehoodi produced a number of live online events over the years. Most notably, we were the broadcast partner for the International Lindy Hop Championships from 2012 to 2015. And we produced a live show from the Frankie100 Memorial Celebration in New York City in 2014.
