Looking back on the past 12 months, it's been pretty incredible on a lot of fronts. Some highlights:
- helped hundreds of teens to be science storytellers using technology
- co-starred in a hip-hop dance show that I inspired
- co-hosted and co-produced a live broadcast from the Olympics of swing
- led a tech workshop in the Ukraine that the government tried to shut down

Professional Teen Science Nerd Herder
In my second year at the California Academy of Sciences, I was promoted to Senior Manager of Digital Learning. It's been such an honor getting to work with such a fantastic crew of educators and hundreds of amazing teens from around the Bay Area.

Dancing Life
So many awesome things happened in the dance part of my life. San Francisco is such an incredible place to be exposed to so many different genres and communities of dance. The best of 2013:
- Co-starred in the "Re/Genesis" dance show
- Livestreamed the 2013 International Lindy Hop Championships in glorious HD!
- Produced season three of "SwingNation"!
- Started house dancing
- Performed in SF city hall for the Pride Festival's VIP Party
- Performed the b-boy shim sham
- Produced the "What is Lindy Hop?" video, which as of today has more than 13,000 views
A Lil Bit a Travel
I didn't do a ton of travel in 2013, which I'm not unhappy about. But I was able to get to some amazing places.

A Couple of Life Changes
Not too many life changes, but two that have vastly improved my quality of life:

Lastly let me shout out some people who have been particularly wonderful this past year:
- My Sis Cori: For being a great sister and friend. So happy for you, Fadh, and your little warrior princess!
- Manu: For being a fantastic co-conspirator this year for ILHC, SwingNation and other secret future projects. And one of my best friends who even let me crash his family's trip to Disneyland!
- Josh Klipp: For being a great dance crew director, teen science choreographer, band leader, and overall an awesome friend to have this year. A true mensch.
- My Youth Programs Team at the Academy: I could not ask for a finer crew of youth inspirerers. Yes, that's a word.
