Help My Dance Crew Bring “Re/Genesis” to the Stage

I'm super excited to share the news that I'm going to be one of the principal dancers in "Re/Genesis" a full-length hip-hop dance show debuting the weekend of April 12 in San Francisco.  "Re/Genesis" is a collaboration between my dance crew Freeplay and the fantastic dance company Prince on Point, under the overall leadership of Josh Klipp, our creative director.

Freeplay Photoshoot sunburst 600This is the first time I’ve had the opportunity to conceive, choreograph, and perform in a dance show at this level, which is hella exciting and kinda scary. The theme of the show is a very personally meaningful one — reclaiming spirituality — which I think could have a powerful impact on our audiences.

That said, putting on a full-length dance show is an expensive proposition.  We're an all-volunteer dance company, putting on this show for the pure love of dance and movement. We need at least $2,000 to properly stage this show, which involves costumes for two companies of dancers, props, lighting, marketing and more.

If you'd like to help us bring our vision to the stage, please consider contributing to our fundraising campaign.  Any amount you can spare — $10, $25, $40 — is very appreciated, and we've got lots of cool perks for people who contribute at the higher levels.

Head to our fundraising page to contribute and get more info:

Even if you can't contribute financially, there are lots of other ways you can support, from spreading the word to your networks to volunteering at the show itself.  Thanks so much!
