Here's the trailer for the new dancing movie "Love n' Dancing," opening in limited release this month. The plot revolves around a champion swing dancer who starts teaching a high school teacher how to dance for her wedding, but soon something more develops between them. [Cue cheesy music.] Anyway, its neat to see swing dancing getting the motion picture treatment, even if it is, ahem, west coast swing.
Starring Amy Smart ("Scrubs," "Crank"), Tom Malloy and Billy Zane, it looks like "Love n' Dancing" might actually get some balance on the good acting / good dancing conundrum I've talked about in the past. Produced by champion west coast swing dancer Robert Royston, so I'm sure we'll at least get some awesome dance footage out of it.
Opening in limited release in LA, San Diego, Atlanta, and Salt Lake City. What, no love for New York? Click here for theater listings and opening dates.
