My top 10 dances of 2007

This year has been a remarkable one for dancing.  Here are my top ten dances of 2007:

1. Dancing at the Apollo with Sharon Jones (perhaps #1 for LIFE)
2. Breaking with my breakdance group at PMT Studios Fall Showcase
3. Performing with the Brooklyn Bombshells group at the Mermaid Parade
4. Lindy hopping to Big Bad Voodoo Daddy at the Waldorf Astoria
5. Doing the 80s and 90s dances "workshop" at the Swing and Soul weekend in Atlanta ("The Roger Rabbit"!)
6. Funking it up to the Gordon Webster Trio with Steven Mitchell and Wycliffe Gordon at Jelly Roll party
7. Dancing the Peabody with Monica to the Michael Arenella Dreamland Orchestra on Governor’s Island
8. Swingin in the Easter Parade
9. Popping with Chibi Robot (aka Bryan Gaynor) at Swing and Soul
10. Lindy hopping with the incomparable Virginie Jensen at the Herrang Dance Camp
