Stephen Colbert nearly pleads for this kind of fan adoration, and when some enterprising SL machinimators create a video in homage to him, his parent company Viacom issues a DMCA takedown on their ass. Next up: NBC goes after children creating shadow puppets that resemble characters from "Lost." </rant>

This *should* be protected under fair use, since Steven Colbert is a celebrity, not a fictional character.
I wonder how Colbert feels about this, or if he’s even watched it? And I mean Colbert the man, the individual, not any company claiming to represent him, which may have an opinion differing or completely contrary.
Where is parody counted in all of this?
