This is a picture of where the Obama in-world event will NOT take place.
SLNN reports that presidential contender Barack Obama will be appearing in-world in avatar form as part of a webcast on March 31 at 1PM PDT. Interestingly, the in-world event will take place, not in the grassroots "Obama ’08" build (teleport SLURL) that launched a few weeks ago, but on Soho island, organized by virtual promotions firm Forefront Media.
I hope that they will arrange for at least the audio-stream to be piped into the unofficial HQ, given all the work that has gone into putting that together. Presumably Obama’s people are savvy enough not to step on these bottom-up, citizen-led efforts.
Appearing in avatar form? That’s not quite what SLNN is reporting, if you look at your link. They are reporting that he has authorized the webcast to be streamed in-world. Do you have other information?
