So my little group of b-boys and b-girls are getting into the final preparations before another breaking performance at PMT Studios this Friday and Sunday. As usual we are doing everything in the last second, having barely worked out the choreography and blocking and the music still not finished mixing. At the very least I have my outfit worked out, as you can see.
Our routine is really just a loose structure and story built around breaking solos that all seven of us dancers are taking. I really like my solo, which integrates some of my favorite moves, including some popping and a little homage to swing. Now if I can just pull off the final freeze I’ll be very happy.
Our breaking group performs on Friday November 21 and Sunday November 23, along with an eclectic mix of several other dancing pieces. Looks like a small crowd of my work colleagues, friends, and family are going to be in the audience. Exciting!
