I'm currently in Washington DC again for the WebWise Conference at the Hyatt Regency on Capitol Hill. Webwise is an annual gathering of around 300 librarians and museum staff from around the United States discussing and debating how their institutions should respond to technological changes in the Digital Age.
I will be staffing a booth showing off the MacArthur Foundations island in Second Life and talking to folks about Global Kids suite of educational services we offer. Then I am hosting an informal "birds-of-a-feather" dinner for conference participants interested in Global Kids or virtual world education topics. I'm looking forward to it.
Then the conference proper starts tomorrow until Friday afternoon. I think it's going to be an interesting gathering.
