My cheat days are primarily about staying healthy and enjoying the good stuff at the same time. But I'm also learning lots of neat stuff about my body.
Yesterday, I was eating A LOT. A giant plate of ricotta-stuffed french toast with a half dozen slices of bacon. A pork bahn mi sandwich and an avocado shake. A sleeve of small chocolate chip cookies. Japanese fried chicken. Nachos. All the things.
And yet, despite all of that, I was hungry for a lot of the day. I think it had to do with my body not getting enough protein and vegetables, making me feel deprived and under-nourished. The cookies weren't filling the roasted chicken and broccoli shaped hole in my stomach.
That's what makes my diet so easy. I don't have to over-think it. I just have to listen to what my body wants and how what I eat effects me.
