Me and my girl don’t make a big deal out of Valentines Day. Still, I couldn’t resist getting a couple of presents for my nerdy girlfriend.
The first was a crystal “Fuze” necklace that has a lovely pendant that glows with occillating colors. Or as the Fuze website describes:
Fuze™ gems radiate an iridescent aura of light, and in a gradual process seamlessly shift through a vibrant spectrum of soothing color. This luminosity exposes the natural inclusions of each stone, revealing the captivating inner beauty of every Fuze™.
In other words, they glow.
The glowing stone is quite bright even in a moderately lit room, but of course looks best in the dark. 🙂 It comes in a sweet little jewelry box and even includes an extra set of batteries. You can find them at thinkgeek.com and other online retailers.
We’re both big “Law and Order” dorks. I’m more into the “Criminal Intent” variety while she prefers “Special Victims Unit (SVU)”. So when I heard that the artist Brandon Bird had created a set of “SVUtines” greeting cards, I had to get them. They come in a set of 10 cards, each one weirder and funnier than the last one. My girl loved the one featuring B.D. Wong, as I suspected. I like the Ice-T ones personally.
You can probably still order them from Brandonbird.com.
