Sometimes it’s easiest to steal from your friends. Four months ago my friend Jamie Linder and his girlfriend Erica were playing with my kitten Mole. Jamie, being the awesome photographer that he is, took a bunch of great photos. And being the nice guy that he is, he posted them to his website, jlinder.com.
I, being the thoughtless cad that I am, got the link from Jamie to the photos and proceeded to copy them and put them on my own website, without attribution. Only months later do I find out that he has been feeling bad about this the whole time, but never found an opportunity to bring it up to me until tonight.
I feel like an idiot because just two days ago I was yelling at someone else about posting onto the web another photographer’s work without crediting him or linking back to his site.
So the internet makes new and interesting ways to annoy your friends. Sorry, Jamie!
Hey Rik,
Things like this happen to the best of us (especially when one is super excited about one’s new cat!)
Thanks for the posting and attribution. I appreciate it. 🙂
Cheers.
tsk. tsk.
I just posted some of Jamey’s photos, and made sure to credit him.
I wouldn’t have had any idea had Erica not brought it up!
