My colleague Saskia Fischer at the Media Empowerment Project recently announced that she is leaving as program manager of the MEP to move back to Europe. The MEP is currently search for a replacement. Here’s the description:
Project Manager, The Media Empowerment Project of the Office of Communication of the United Church of Christ, Inc (OC, Inc).
OC, Inc, the preeminent public interest advocate for communications issues, is seeking an experienced organizer to manage its Media Empowerment Project (MEP). The Project Manager will guide and promote the work of our four local projects, while overseeing the expansion of MEP to other communities. Applicants must have experience in social justice organizing; knowledge of fundraising and media policy are preferred, as is a graduate degree.
It sounds like a really cool job. A complete job description is posted at www.mediaempowerment.org. Interested candidates should send resumes by August 15 to Robert Chase, Executive Director, OC, Inc, 700 Prospect Ave., Cleveland, OH 44115, or by email at chaser@ucc.org, or by fax at 216 736-2223.
