Thanks for coming to the Machinima Fest Preview! See you on Saturday for the awards ceremony, and more!

Thanks, everyone, who came out for the first of two Second Life events in conjunction with the Machinima Festival this weekend in New York.  We had a great time, and we hope you did too!  Special thanks to the machinimators Phil Rice, Jackie Turnure, Jonah Gold, and Harrison Heller (pictured above) for coming in-world to present your works.  It was great hearing about how you prepared your films, which all were incredibly entertaining.

Meanwhile, there will be more mixed reality madness on Saturday, when the Electric Sheep Company broadcasts into the Laguna Beach theater live video from the Machinima Fest.  The main event is the awards ceremony at 9pm EST, but also notable are several interesting side-events. I’m excited about the panel on intellectual property issues and machinima.  Check out the full schedule for details, and tune-in in-world to catch all the action.

More pics from the Machinima Fest preview after the jump….

Jackie looks a bit disembodied logging in from Australia.
