At the last second I got word about this cool podcaster gathering happening tomorrow at the New Yorker Hotel in Manhattan: Podcamp NYC. Looks like there will be hundreds of cool podcasters and other new media folks there, tons of interesting panels and discussions, and best of all, it’s absolutely FREE. Amazing. Compare that to the $600-800 to attend the Virtual Worlds conference last weekend.
Cool SL dudes Mark Wallace (3PointD) and Johnny Ming (Second Cast, The Grid Review) will be joining other virtual worlders to talk about the “social media convergence and virtual worlds.” Unfortunately, the discussion is at 9am tomorrow. So I’m off to bed early tonight.
For those that don’t know, I do a bi-monthly podcast with my buddy Spuds called the Yehoodi Talk Show. Supposedly the purpose of the podcast is to cover developments in the national, and increasingly international, swing dance scene. But really it’s just an excuse for me and my bud to hang out in Skype and force other people to listen to us for 45 minutes.
