This is Rikomatic, undercover milkshake inspector, reporting live from The Soda Shop on Chambers Street in Manhattan. Luckily, today they had as their special flavor pistachio, my favorite.
The good news is that the milkshakes are so thick that they serve them with extra large straws. This was actually very helpful since the pistachio flavor has big chunks of actual pistachios in it!
Soda Shop has a nice lunch menu, with sandwiches, salads and burgers. They also have a nice selection of classic candy like dippin dots, pez and many brands of candy cigarettes. But of course, the reason to go there is for the ice cream treats — egg creams, malts, floats, milkshakes, Cherry Lime Rickeys, etc.

The Specials of the Day. I like that they advertise that they have cracker jacks. Wow, cracker jacks!
