I am perhaps the second to last person on the Net to know this. Goodsearch is a Yahoo! powered search engine that enables you to donate to any of 51,000 charities every time you enter a web search query. All you do is head to Goodsearch.com, enter the name of your designated non-profit — say "Global Kids" just to choose one completely at random — and then start searching. Each search gives about one penny to your designated organization. (You only have to enter the organization’s name this once per browser, since this information is saved as a cookie on your machine.)
You can even add Goodsearch to your browser’s search bar, making it nearly dummy-proof.
Think of it this way: someone is making money off of your search activity. It might as well be a cause you care about. Did I mention that Global Kids was one of the causes you could donate to? 🙂
