Here’s a delicious plate of fried chicken and waffles from Shane’s Cafe in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn. Upon reflection, I probably should have got the white meat. But somehow I managed to choke it down anyway. The side of grits and strong coffee certainly helped.
The occasion was a lovely brunch for my friend Lilieblue’s birthday, enjoyed with my roommate Swifty and other nice folks. Shane’s was playing an awesome DVD of a Al Green from 1970s which was the perfect soundtrack for brunch on a rainy, chilly winter morning. Now I need a nap…
I’m not sure what the hold-up is… maybe they have re-thought their stance on how this is going to actually make the company any money. Or perhaps their lawyers pointed out the liability of providing agents a platform to stick their feet in their mouth. Whatever it is, it’s hardly something I’d claim as being “Well done”.
