This is what I had for breakfast today: the "supreme" pancakes with pork sausage from Tom’s Restaurant in Brooklyn. Delicious and decadent. I was splurging because I was half suspecting that I was going to get bad news from the doctor today about my health.
I just got back home from my doctor who reviewed my most recent blood work — apparently I passed with flying colors! My doc says I am diabetes-free!
Which does not unfortunately mean I can go back to eating donuts for breakfast and spaghetti carbonara for lunch. I still have to watch my diet, exercise, lay off the crackpipe, etc. But still it’s a big relief to know that my ongoing healthy living efforts are paying off!
