Tonight, the LBJ School of Public Affairs at The University of Texas at Austin hosted an address by former U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine K. Albright. I got to watch and participate in this event at the GSD&M Idea City Island Amphitheatre in Second Life (teleport SLURL). It was a good crowd for a foreign policy talk, with 50-some avatars present in-world.
I asked Ms. Albright about her thoughts on the role of the United States in relation to the International Criminal Court. You can see her response here.
I loved Madeleine Albright’s closing words: "This is exactly the kind of interchange, both in first life and Second Life, that will allow us to figure our way through the 21st century in a better way."
Thanks for facilitating this, Idea City and UT Austin!
Looks very interesting, thanks for sharing. Regards.

I am transferring to UT Austin and I just want to know if people from other states have heard of it? Like what do you think of its reputation? Because I don’t really plan on staying in Texas after college so I want to know if my diploma from UT Austin would mean anything when I go to New York or some place else.
Also, I am majoring in economics and if you’re a UT alum, how was the job hunting/ recruiting? Are all the job offers you got from Texas?

Interesting point of view on the whole Multinational society law.
When I watched District 9 and the xenophobia in my country South Africa, I was literally amazed how intolerant some people have become of others.
It sucks since we were all united during the world cup and post world cup some factions are pushing the Zimbabwe, Ghana and DRC immigrants out of their townships.
I hope more people adopt Madeline Albright’s view and understanding on public relations.
