I'm super excited that awesome comic book author Bryan Lee O'Malley is coming to Rocket Ship in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn, tomorrow! Not only will he be signing the latest volume 5 in the fantastic "Scott Pilgrim" series, he'll also be selling a sweet Scott Pilgrim tee! I must have that tee-shirt!! (Sorry about all the exclamation points. But OMG!)
For those that don't know, the series chronicles the adventures of Scott Pilgrim, a somewhat lazy, twenty-something musician who falls for Ramona, a ninja messenger girl of mysterious origin. Unfortunately, to keep Ramona as his girlfriend, he must fight each and every one of her evil ex'es. The graphic novels are a wonderful combination of manga-esque artwork, hilarious dialogue, and vivid characters.
