Global Kids is proud to announce the public release of "CONSENT!" — a youth-produced digital game about medical experimentation in US prisons on African-Americans. Built in Teen Second Life, Global Kids has arranged for it to be brought over to the Main Grid of Second Life, hosted by the nice folks at Clemson University. Starting on Wednesday, April 8, from 11am-1pm PST, you can get a tour of the game, learn how it was created, and play the game yourself. Head to Clemson Teaching sim to participate (click here to teleport.)
About the Game: CONSENT! is a first person, simulation game based on Harriet A. Washington's book Medical Apartheid in which you play as an African-American prisoner who has to make tough decisions about whether to choose to 'consent' and submit to medical experiments. Game play spans the time period from the 1940s to the present.
