Jennifer Palgon was until recently my life coach during a pivotal period of my transition from program associate to an assistant director position at Global Kids. Life coaching has many varieties, but generally is a personal, directed kind of professional support that rides the line between career guidance and therapy. If you are looking for help realizing a career goal, taking your job to the next level, or dealing with a difficult situation, a life coach may help.
I worked with Jenn for about five months, meeting with me over the phone once a week. In that period, she was very helpful in getting me to confront areas of work that were intimidating to me, helping me focus on problem areas, and celebrate my achievements and strengths. I can’t recommend her enough.
Jennifer Palgon is based in New York City, but available for phone consultations with clients anywhere. Email her at happyaccidents@mac.com for more information or to schedule an introductory session.
More about Jennifer and life coaching after the jump…
From Jennifer Palgon, CPC:
In 2008, I embarked on the journey of becoming a life coach. It’s been an absolutely amazing experience that has brought me in touch with the work my heart has been longing to do. The most incredible part has been realizing that yes, I can do something I love and enjoy for a living. In February of 2009 I graduated as a Certified Professional Coach and have been working with clients for the past 9 months.
What is a life coach?
It is definitely something that can have many descriptions. To me it is about helping others reconnect with what brings them most alive so that life can be filled with joy, passion and depth. I love providing the space where all parts of my clients are welcome, where together we can celebrate the steps they take, and most of all where they are able to create the life they dream of for themselves. What I see more in more as I work with clients is that this work is very much about connecting to the wonder, freedom, imagination we felt as children. It’s quite magical and beautiful. Some examples of how I’ve worked with clients:
- helping them to own their power and ability to take on leadership roles in work
- let more of their true self be seen in work and personal life
- express themselves more fully and creatively
- connect with a deeper sense of purpose and sense of possibility
- take chances and pursue their dreams
If you connect with any of this, or simply have the desire to live life more fully but don’t know how to get there, then a life coach could be a great source of encouragement and inspiration. I would love to share with you more about how I work, as well as learn about where you are on your journey and what you hope to create for yourself in the present and future. I can be reached by email at happyaccidents@mac.com.
I look forward to hearing from you…
