I got the official word (finally!) from the Boilermakers Band that both they and champion lindy hopper Carla Heiney will be featured on the November 24 episode of the hit dance program "So You Think You Can Dance." Carla
Heiney, assisted by Bromley Palamountain and Zack Richard, will be
choreographing a lindy hop routine for one of the couples on the show. Meanwhile, The Boilermaker Jazz Band recording of Duke Ellington's "I've Got To Be
A Rug Cutter" will be played during the show.
Here's the announcement from Carla:
Lindy Hop is back on So You Think You Can Dance!! And we want your
votes! So tune in on Tuesday, Nov 24th to vote for the Lindy Hop!! You can vote multiple times! We want to see more
Lindy Hop & other Swing Era dances on this show and hope you do
too. And if they see lots of votes for this dance, they'll "bring it
on!" so, you need to bring it on with the votes, please & thank you.
Air Time: Tuesday, November 24, 8pm, Fox Network (check local listings). Sounds awesome.
