Here's a quick clip of the fantastic Houston Person and his Quartet performing at the New York Swing Society Dance last Saturday, January 16 in New York City. The New York Swing Dance Society has been a vital force keeping alive the art of swing dancing in NYC for the past 24 years. They have monthly dances with live musicians and DJs, plus a free dance lesson for those new to swing.
I took this video with my new Sony Handycam, a hand-me-down from my dad. It's got some nice features, including a 30gig hard drive with 7 hours of recording in high quality and 20 hours in normal. Not as portable as my Flip camera, but still quite small.
