Here's some cool stuff that I've been reading lately:
- Biomega, Volume One: Violent, dark, beautiful manga by Tsutomu Nihei. It's kind of got everything that geeks like: motorbikes, zombies, talking bears, and damsels in distress. And that's just in the first 30 pages. Can't wait for volume two!
- Fashioning Technology by Syuzi Pakhchyan. A good introduction to "smart crafting" or "computational textiles" with various beginning and intermediate crafting projects, from a light-up wristband to a wifi-detecting handbag. I'm hoping to get started with my first smartcraft project soon.
- The Army of the Republic but Stuart Archer Cohen. My friend Christina just loaned me this novel, and I'm already enthralled by the first chapter. A near future story about a United States where mega-corporations control the government and underground dissidents fight back.
Yes, I'm all over the map, a usual.
