In my zeal to post about the awesome hip-hop / lindy hop battle that took place last month in Sweden, I forgot to mention the other badass video clip I found on Jerry Almonte's blog: the Harlem Hotshots performing before tens of thousands of people in Stockholm! According to Jerry this was for the show called “The Last Bounce,” a
huge arena-sized show viewed by a total of 54,000 people over five days!
Where else in the world would you see tens of thousands of people cheering for a live lindy hop performance? And not some Broadway bastardization — this is the real deal, traditional lindy hop that would make Frankie Manning proud.
Damn, Sweden. Just, damn.
