Some exciting news from my group Global Kids. After more than twenty years of pioneering work with underserved teens in New York City, Global Kids is launching projects at two high schools in Washington DC. As the seat of the US federal government, brimming with foreign policy, nonprofit and cultural resources, and with a large population of underserved teenagers, Washington DC is a natural place for Global Kids to be expanding our work.
To support this ambitious new direction for Global Kids, we are hosting "An Evening of International Excellence" on Monday, December 6 featuring tastings prepared by seven world-class chefs! The host will be His Excellency Pierre Vimont, Ambassador of France to the United States, at his residence.
