Just wanted to share the exciting news that I am headed to the lovely southeast Asian city-state of Singapore for a work project and a bit of vacation at the end of May. I know, very last minute and random.
I actually don't know much about Singapore, other than they have amazing food, it's ridiculously clean and safe, and they like shopping. They also have a lindy hop scene, so I plan on going out dancing when I am there for sure. Singapore kind of looks like Second Life, but with less furries.
Any suggestions for what to do, where to go, what to eat?

Must see/do:
1. Singapore Flyer. Best view of the city, and one of the biggest ferris wheels in the world.
2. Subway. Take it all the way around the city. The outskirts are quite different from the central city, less clean, more “real”.
3. Food shiaks. Head to little India and find the Tekka Mall. Great food, dirt cheap, safe to eat. You can get a whole mean for $2-3, and eat lavishly for $5. Same goes for Chinatown, but get out of the touristy Chinatown and check out the real Chinatown, particularly Chinatown Plaza.
4. Sim Lim Square. More electronics thank you’ve ever seen in your life.
5. Night Safari. Take the bus over, and see some of the strangest creatures in the world.
6. Fish spa. Go get a pedicure while you’re at the Singapore Flyer. Turkish doctor fish will nibble all the dead skin off your feet and legs while you sit there for 15-20 minutes, feels weird, but very relaxing, and your feet will never feel softer.
ok all of that sounds pretty awesome. Thanks jeremy!
