Not long ago, Joseph Gordon Levitt on Saturday Night Live did an admirable homage to the great dancer / performer Donald O'Conner. Of course O'Conner's "Make em Laugh!" is revered as one of the finest comic dance performances ever captured on film. I really liked the JGL version though, particularly the awesome stunt at the end.

Then watch the original routine again (and again and again…) You're welcome.

*JOSEPH* Gordon-Levitt. Aka Joey G, as my French teacher called him. (I had a French class with the dude.)
My sister has a huge crush on him 🙂 He’s very talented.
woops, fixed.
Singing in the Rain is one of my dad’s favorite films ever. I remember watching it with him annually as it played as part of a local tv station’s holiday marathon. Which holiday is of no matter, as the emotion that overtakes me as I watch Donald O’Conner’s performance is attached to my dad’s presence and joy, not to the date. Thanks for this enchanting trip back in time Rik.
