The California Academy of Sciences welcomed today a new penguin chick to our African Penguin tank in the Tusher African Hall. Scores of visitors young and old were on hand to witness the two-month old baby penguin splash around in the water, get feed and preen himself with his proud daddy.
This is the first penguin chick born in our new building! After getting a good look at him with our mini-penguin colony, I think he will be a nice addition to our 16 adult penguins.
But what do we call him? The Cal Academy is inviting the public to help us name the little guy. You can suggest a name by clicking this link.
