Mole on Office Chair

Posted on July 11, 2008 by

Recently my cat Mole has started using my office chair in my bedroom as his catbed.  I think because he can still sleep close to me, but doesn’t have to worry about me rolling onto him in my sleep. And from the chair, he is slightly higher than me when I’m asleep.

Closing shop on Yehoodi’s Second Life office in the Nonprofit Commons

Posted on July 6, 2008 by

I’ve decided that I don’t have the time or energy to devote to building out Yehoodi’s in-world presence in Second Life anymore.  I do believe there are interesting ways that virtual worlds could be used to promote lindy hop and swing jazz. I would still love to host in-world interviews with jazz artists and dancers,…

Find more videos like this on Midsummer Night Swing One of the best parts of swinging in the summer in New York is dancing outdoors at Lincoln Center’s Midsummer Nights Swing concert series.  This year’s series is much shorter than years past, but still sounds like a great lineup of bands (some more swingable…

What to get for the wedding couple that has everything?

Posted on July 5, 2008 by

I feel like I’ve been to a slew of weddings over the past couple of months of 30-ish to 40-ish couples who are already well-established in their lives together.  Which is lovely, and I totally dig it. I find myself at these weddings have a much better time because the newlyweds are usually freaking out…

I’m not getting older, I’m getting bad ass-er

Posted on July 3, 2008 by

It’s my mutha&%$*ing 39th birthday, folks!  In between coordinating a virtual fossil dig and heading to Cali for a family wedding, I haven’t had any time to plan anything for my birthday, unfortunately.  I’m hoping to  rally the troops for some dance outing next weekend, though. Meanwhile, here’s some reasons why I’m not getting older,…
