Online Leadership
Program Associate
Global Kids, Inc., a New
York City based non-profit organization dedicated to transforming urban youth
into successful students and global and community leaders, is seeking to fill a
staff position as Online Leadership Program Associate. The position is in
person, in New York City, and would primarily entail the co-development of two

development practices in virtual worlds.
Now in its seventh year, the OLP
is expanding its role within the TSL virtual world. In the past year GK has run
an essay contest and a summer camp in TSL. The summer camp, for example,
educated the teens about important global issues, led them to pick one about
which they could learn more (child sex trafficking), and supported them to
develop an educational interactive experience to inspired their peers to take
action. The Online Leadership Program Associate will adapt existing
experiential, interactive workshops for use in the virtual world, co-facilitate
the workshops for online teens, assist the youth to develop an action plan,
document best practices, manage Global Kids islands, and more. Global Kids will
be launching three different projects involved with Second Life – one around
