Dancing with Rheumatoid Arthritis: Cheryl’s Inspiring Story (video)

Posted on May 18, 2010 by

I've been meaning to blog this up for awhile, but here it is.  Seattle-based Lindy Hopper Cheryl Crow shares this inspiring video about her own experiences as a dancer with rheumatoid arthritis.

I have several uncles and aunties who have trouble walking down the street because of various pains and disabilities. But when the music of their era comes on, they hit the dancefloor like nobody's business! If you can take a step, if you can bob your head to the beat, if you can snap your fingers, you can dance.

There's a forum topic on yehoodi where people are posting their experiences dancing through various disabilities.  Check it out for some more stories of how people cope with pain and the stress of dancing.

Thanks so sharing your story, Cheryl! I hope we get to dance soon!

That was great you have a lots of courage like me. I have an arthritis and no one can stop me from doing what I like.I want to share how I treat my arthritis. Arthritis is a disorder characterized by painful and swollen joints. There are over 100 different forms of arthtritis and each is differentiated from the rest by observation of clinical signs and symptoms. The three most common are osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and gouty arthritis. Recent studies have shown that Xanthones have no harmful influence on blood coagulation and increases blood perfusion rate in the kidneys, thereby enhancing renal function while helping in the regulation of salt and fluid balance in the body.
    Thank you,
    Ben
